Britain Leaving the EU: The Impact on SMEs

Now the Referendum results are out and Britain has voted to leave the European Union, the opportunities, threats and implications for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) are all critical questions which must be addressed.

At Beavis Morgan, we know the outcome could pose significant challenges for SMES, the backbone of the UK economy, accounting for 99 per cent of all private sector businesses*.

Uncertainty in the financial markets, regulations, trade relations, immigration policies, and external funding, with the EU providing support to European SMEs in various forms such as grants, loans and guarantees, are just some of the initial considerations for business as we enter this new era in Britain’s history.

That is why we have set up a Beavis Morgan Brexit Planning Team to help ensure that the measures our clients implement now, will put their businesses in the strongest position for the future.

If you are concerned about the effects of Brexit, please contact your usual Beavis Morgan Partner or a member of our Brexit Planning Team to discuss the issues and changes relevant to you:
