A survey of over 550 global investment professionals and over 1,300 chief executives has revealed that the UK remains attractive to investors, despite Brexit.
The poll of the most important country for growth prospects places the UK in third place, up from fourth place last year, and behind only the US and Canada.
London was cited as the second most attractive city in terms of growth prospects over the next twelve months. New York achieved first place, with Beijing, Shanghai and San Francisco placed third, fourth and fifth respectively.
The survey also showed that confidence in global economic growth has increased significantly, with 45 per cent of investors and analysts saying they are very confident, up from just 22 per cent in 2016.
