Aid for Ukraine: Beavis Morgan support, and appeal for donations

On 10 December, Beavis Morgan Client Partner Pieter van Rooyen, together with a team of fellow volunteers, will be making the long journey for Ukraine to deliver much needed supplies to a refugee centre in Krakow, Poland.

Pieter and the team will set off in a van from Orpington with suppliers including first aid kits, warm bedding, food, medication, nappies and other essentials. It will be a quick turnaround, with the volunteer group arriving in Krakow late on Monday 12 December, and aiming to being back in the UK on Wednesday 14 December.

Pieter van Rooyen, says: “With the crisis in Ukraine no longer headline news, one might think that the situation surrounding the Russia/Ukraine war is behind us and the Ukrainian peoples’ needs are now met. However, this could not be further from the truth. As the cold weather sets in, with many refugees facing their first winter away from home, support is desperately needed, and it is our privilege to be able to deliver aid to those who have been displaced by the war.

“I would like to thank my fellow Partners and team members at Beavis Morgan for making a generous contribution to the trip, which will be used towards fuel and accommodation. I am so thankful for their support and encouragement.”

Peter Drown, Senior Partner, Beavis Morgan, adds: “Beavis Morgan is proud to support Pieter and the team and to help them on their journey in support of some of the many Ukrainians in need. It’s a long way and it will not be an easy one, but it certainly will be worthwhile. We thank them and wish them well on their travels.”
