Beavis Morgan sponsored golfer Jamie Donaldson climbs world rankings to within top 30

What a season it’s been for Beavis Morgan sponsored Jamie Donaldson. The Welsh golfer finished the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai recently in tied eighth spot on 14 under par, moving him onto the world’s top 30 rankings and a few steps closer to a Ryder Cup debut at Gleneagles next season.

Jamie secured a career-best finish at the World Golf Championships HSBC Champions in Shanghai earlier in the month, achieving a top 10 with a 5-under-par 33-34=67. The 38-year-old then went on to finish second in the Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya, helped by a hole-in-one on the 16th earning him a prize of a million air miles from the sponsors.

Jamie, who has achieved a career-best fifth place on the European Tour's order or merit, will now go on to play in the Nedbank Golf Challenge, also known as Africa's Major, taking place from 5 to 8 December at Sun City in South Africa. The Challenge, which promises to the largest event since its inception, will see 30 of the world’s finest golfers competing for a total purse of $6.5million at the Gary Player Country Club.

Huge congratulations to Jamie from all of us at Beavis Morgan and wishing him continued success.
