Annual Startups Awards winners announced

Congratulations to all the winners of the 13th annual Startups Awards announced last night at an awards ceremony at Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington.

52 ambitious and exciting start-up finalists gathered with entrepreneurs and investors to hear host Oli Barrett MBE, co-founder of StartUp Britain, name the winners of the 15 award categories.

London-based identity verification startup Onfido took the top title of the evening 'Startups Business of the Year 2016', as well as Tech Business of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Dog food subscription service tails.com was named Product Business of the Year, and handmade spectacle start-up Cubitts won Retail Business of the Year. Online pension management system, PensionBee, took Innovative Business of the Year, and Young Entrepreneur of the Year was awarded to Eamon Jubbawy, Husayn Kusai and Ruhal Amin of Onfido.

The Startups Awards is the longest running awards of its kind to celebrate the country’s most ambitious, creative and game-changing businesses launched in the last four years.
