HMRC has updated its series of videos, webinars and online courses aimed at the self-employed. The resources cover registering for Self-Assessment, filing tax returns, handling expenses and a host of other subjects.
However a video will never cover, and adequately explain, all situations and circumstances, therefore you should still engage with an expert. For example, it is important to be aware that filing your tax return late, or failing to pay the tax you owe on time, could mean you face extra penalty fees and interest charges.
