Government updates guidance on furlough leave

On Saturday 4 April, the Government issued updated guidance for both employees and employers on how furlough leave works under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (JRS).

It has now been over two weeks since the Government launched the JRS. Whilst further details have been published since then, employers and employees alike have continued to raise questions about how the scheme will operate in practice.

In this briefing note, we identify some of the key aspects of the updated guidance and provide a summary of the key points. Read here or click on the image: Government updates guidance on furlough leave.

The new guidance confirms some of the understanding we included in our Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme: Furlough guidance published on 27 March 2020, as well as additional information.
