Can cash beat shares?

This is Money

Research from Moneyfacts seems to imply that savers aiming to get the best returns should abandon the stock market in favour of a simple cash bond. Investors need to remember though that selling stocks and shares may lead to a capital gains tax liability. However, on the flip side, Barclays Equity Gilt Survey shows that the long term returns are consistently better in the stock market.

Confused by the conflicting messages? Our experts at Beavis Morgan can provide comprehensive advice across all current taxes. We can also introduce you to a traditional private client stockbroker to provide investment advice specific to your circumstances.

If you would like to learn more, please contact Alan Ford or your usual Beavis Morgan Partner.
