Voting closes on Friday 30 September!
When he was just seven, Jonathan (Jigger) Thomson was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, an illness which nearly killed him. During his four years in and out of Sheffield Children's Hospital, he used his love for golf to keep his mind focussed and spirits up, hitting shots on the range, sitting down when he became tired, and later getting around on the course on a golf buggy.
Jigger was spotted as a potential talent at the age of 12 by the Yorkshire Union and selected for the under-16 squad, before being selected for England's under-16 Boys later that same year. Just recently, Jigger turned pro, inspiring us all with his determination and belief that nothing can hold him back.
We are very proud to have announced this week that Beavis Morgan will sponsor Jigger in 2017 and we hope you will join us in voting for him for this worthy award!
