London has once again topped the list of the most business friendly cities in the world. The report, which assesses the top 30 capital cities, positions London as an economic powerhouse and magnet for innovation, and says that London’s dynamism meant it would remain "agile and resilient" in the face of the Brexit vote.
With London being the place to do business, coupled with the recent drop in sterling’s value, an excellent opportunity has opened up for overseas investors in the UK business and property market. For example, the recent economic slowdown in China has pushed investors to look abroad for investments. Despite Brexit, the UK offers a stable environment to do business and the appetite to invest in UK property is also on the rise. According to Savills, Chinese investors accounted for 23 per cent of all new residential property purchases in London over the past 18 months. And just this week it was reported that a Chinese firm is set to build Europe's tallest residential tower in London – the £800m Spire London.
