HMRC’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (JRS) portal went live today, with businesses now able to claim up to £2,500 a month towards staff wages.
With many companies across all regions and sectors of the UK economy heavily reliant on the Government’s COVID-19 business support funds, employers will be relieved to know they can now go online to claim cash grants worth up to 80 per cent of wages, capped at £2,500 a month per employee, with the money expected to reach bank accounts within six working days.
For those of you tackling the online portal today, HMRC has provided a step by step application guide explaining the information that employers need to provide to make a claim through the JRS, as well as the processes involved.
You can access the online portal here.
