Congratulations to the winners of the annual British Farming Awards

The 2016 British Farming Awards, which highlight the determination and tenacity of British farmers in ever-changing and challenging conditions and climates, are about recognising farmers who are taking positive steps to achieving a bigger and better business thanks to the innovations they have made.

Sponsored by Farmers Guardian and organised by Briefing Media Agriculture, the Awards, which took place at Chateau Impney Hotel in Worcestershire, covered a range of categories, including a new award for Contractor Innovator of the Year. This award is aimed at farming businesses which have grown through an innovative approach, re-invention, the development of a new agricultural input or piece of machinery, established a new approach to livestock or crop production, or adopted or adapted new research and technology.

The British Farming Awards showed, once again, that agriculture is an industry we should rightly be proud of and one which is defined by the people within it.

Congratulations to all those shortlisted and to the winners on the night!
