We have further strengthened our senior team with the strategic appointment of Paul Smith, who brings with him exceptional knowledge of corporate finance and demonstrable industry expertise.
Paul Smith, previously a member of BDO LLP's corporate finance team for over 35 years, has been involved in many types of business across a range of industry sectors over the years.
His extensive expertise as a corporate financier has seen him provide specialised services to a range of business sectors including acting as the reporting accountant on IPOs and leading financial due diligence teams reporting to private equity houses, banks and corporate entities. He has also acted in an advisory capacity for management in management buyouts and management buy-ins, assisting in negotiating the purchase consideration and raising finance from banks, private equity and capital markets.

Having been involved in many types of business, Paul’s industry knowledge includes real estate, retail, leisure, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, IT, telecommunications, insurance, advertising and media and business support services. His experience spans a number of jurisdictions including Western Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe, North America, South America, South Africa, Australia and Hong Kong.
Paul retired from BDO in July 2013 and now acts in an advisory capacity to Beavis Morgan clients.
