Charities and not for profits should look to outsource finance function

Financial skills are increasingly required by the charity and not for profit sector and an organisation’s successful financial future requires leaders within the finance function to have a thorough understanding of the various challenges faced by the sector. Despite this, recent research by Charity Navigator shows that 30 of the largest charities have just eight CFOs with for-profit experience, while three currently have no CFO.

Over the past few years the charity and not for profit sector has continued to face dramatic changes in their accounting and reporting requirements and regulatory environments. The sector has also had to cope with the ongoing changes to taxation legislation.

Our charity and not for profit accountants, business and tax advisers offer a comprehensive range of services to the sector. In turn, if you require a CFO but you are finding the prospect of hiring experienced financial staff overwhelming, or you are daunted by the cost of taking on extra permanent staff, you can outsource your finance, business advisory and payroll function to us. Our experienced experts in this sector are available to assist. Contact Steve Govey for further information.
