Tyrrell Hatton officially became a European Tour player in Dubai towards the end of last year. At this Challenge Tour Grand Final Tyrrell finished 6th on -10 to par. This moved him up to 10th on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit and therefore gave him promotion to the European Tour. A great achievement for his first full year as a Challenge Tour player, and at just 22 years old.
His new season started at the end of November in South Africa where he teed it up in the South African Open. He then played the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopards Creek and the Hong Kong Open before heading home for Christmas.
