Beavis Morgan announces sponsorship of professional golfers

Our sponsorship of English professional golfer Tyrrell Hatton, who plays on the European Tour, has proved extremely exciting, with Tyrrell capping the best month of his career in July including finishing second in the Scottish Open and fifth in The Open Championship. It has been an honour to partner with Tyrrell on his journey from starting out as a European Tour player in Dubai in 2013, seeing him climb to number 53rd in the world rankings this year. We wish him every success in his career going forward.  We similarly supported Jamie Donaldson as he rocketed up the world rankings too before sponsoring Tyrrell through his growth.

We are now delighted to announce that we are the new sponsors for 2017 of professional golfers Ashton Turner and Jonathan (Jigger) Thomson, both managed by John Fay of Georgia Golf, as is Tyrrell and Jamie.

Jigger teed up a great start to 2016 when he was runner-up in the Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship at Royal Melbourne. Last month he won the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s Glenfarclas Open at Mar Hall, his first professional victory just four weeks after leaving the amateur ranks behind. He also finished 4th a week later at the Clipper logistics Championship at Moor Allerton Golf Club. At 6ft 9in, Jigger is one of the longest hitters in golf.

Ashton, who very recently turned pro, has enjoyed a good 2016 season and notably starred at the Men’s Home Internationals where he was the only player to deliver a 100 per cent unbeaten record. His most impressive performances have, however, come on the European Challenge Tour where he finished T8 at the Made in Denmark Challenge, followed by a T55 result at the Bridgestone Challenge in England. He finished an impressive 4th in his first professional event at Moor Allerton on the EuroPro Tour. Ashton plays in the European Tour First Qualifying Stage Section D event at Frilford Heath starting on 4 October.

We are looking forward to partnering with these budding young professional golfers and wish them success in 2017.
